Heart Scan

Heart Scan is the new technique for rapid non-invasive scanning of heart. It is now possible to easily detect heart disease by Heart Scan at its earliest stages, before symptoms develop. High blood pressure damages the lining of your arteries and accelerates the process of atherosclerosis — which can lead to cardiovascular disease. Overweight men are more likely to have heart disease. A high level of low-density lipoprotein (LDL, or "bad") cholesterol contributes to atherosclerosis in blood vessels, raising the risk of heart disease. Heart Scan, smoking cigarettes raises your risk of developing atherosclerosis.

Heart Scan

Heart Scan is a breakthrough for Heart Disease Prevention and Cardiac Risk Assessment. Electron Beam CT scanner takes forty pictures of your heart, between beats. At the end of the Heart Scan, you will be given a calcium score for each of your coronary arteries and a total score for your heart. This score directly correlates with your risk for heart attacks and stroke.

Heart Scans

A Heart Scan are specialized CT scans that measure calcium in the coronary arteries. But maybe you're not quite sure exactly what A Heart Scan is. Heart scans is a new technique for detecting heart disease. You probably hear plenty about what you can do to prevent heart disease. Is it the same thing as cardiovascular disease, coronary artery disease or other terms you often come across? With scores of medical terms related to the heart and blood vessels, it's no wonder you may be scratching your head. Brushing up on some basic terminology about cardiovascular disease can help you stay more informed, which pays off whether you're watching the news or meeting with your doctor.

Heart Scans

A Heart Scans can determine which patients with chest pain have heart problems and which do not, potentially saving lives by allowing doctors to focus on those in urgent need, according to a study published by the UK's Heart Association. In the study, 103 people with chest pain were given routine tests as well as a 15-second A Heart Scans called a multidetector computed tomography, or MDCT, which enables doctors to see where plaque has built up in coronary arteries, making them narrower and harder.

Heart Scanning

A Heart Scanning detects and scores the amount of calcium present in your arteries. Calcium may indicate a blockage which can lead to a heart attack. Highly accurate, noninvasive and painless, a Heart Scanning uses an ultrafast Computed Tomography (CT) scanner. Radiation exposure is the equivalent of an abdominal X-ray, and any calcium deposits present in the arteries are scored quickly, clearly and accurately.
