Heart Disease Epidemic

Hectic lifestyles fuelled by alcohol and fast food that leave no time for exercise are leading to increasing number of people with high blood pressure and threaten an epidemic of heart disease round the world.
High blood pressure can damage important organs and lead to heart attacks , strokes, kidney disease and dementia.
People should get their heart scans done regularly to ensure optimal health as well as avoid and tackle heart disease. Huge gains have been made against heart disease, with a minimising of deaths in the past 30 years thanks to better treatment and the fall in smoking.
But the report warns that these gains could actually reverse without increased efforts to change unhealthy lifestyle and improve treatment. A reputed doctor observes, “The problem is that you do not feel bad with high blood pressure. There are no symptoms and you feel fine. But in three, five or seven years you could develop heart disease and have a heart attack."
There are several benefits of heart scan. You will be aware of your risk. You will be able to identify the risk of cardiac event in the immediate future and then can immediately change the current lifestyle. Medical prevention and timely intervention can keep heart attacks at bay.
